Some Good Advice

A Friend who owns a plus size specialty dress shop shared some of her best tips with me recently and I wanted to pass this on.

#1
WEAR SHAPEWEAR DAILY
I’m talking medium to light control, save you’re your firm and extra firm control for big events. If you’re wearing a something tight like an or sheer and you don’t want every lump or bump you need shape wear. Skinny Jeans and a tight top might feel like you’re in shape wear hell but it does your figure no favors. Before the people’s Choice awards Kaley Coco expressed her love of shape wear and she is a skinny Minnie.
Spanx carries a line at Target called ASSESTS by Spanx. It’s great for the day to day wear with light to firm control. Now why do we do this, Tim Gunn reminds us in his book The Fashion Bible lumpiness is the anti-sexy… I’m not saying we need to go back to the Gone with the wind Days, but thanks to Vampish lovelies like Ditta Von Tesse Corseting is making its way back. Spanx are the modern way to go. I also like Maidenform they even have a pretty shape wear line and my hope as more women start buying the shaping cami they need or high waisted undies or even a wear your own bra body suit, the prettier these items will get. Look at bras it wasn’t so long ago that bras were pretty unsexy
#2
WEAR A WELL-FITTED BRA
If you’re a busty babe or have 2 aspirins on an ironing board (thank you Hubby) YOU NEED A BRA THAT FITS!!!!! Please no matter who you are big or small you need to be fitted and fitted every year or with more than 10 pounds weight loss or gain. It has so many amazing benefits to have a bra that fits. Better Posture, Less, back pain, Better fitting clothes, and it has even been argued that well-fitted bras can reduced occurrences of Breast cancer and better milk production in those reproductive years. Problem where to go: Victoria’s Secret does bra fitting but if your larger I would skip them all together and Go to Fredericks of Hollywood @ Fredericks they carry a wider arrange of sizes up to an F cup or (DDD) and if your even larger cupped then they should be able to point you in the direction of a Specialty Bra Specialist. Now if you’re like me and prefer to do 99% of your shopping online. You can measure yourself or have a friend assist you.

Always Check Return policy and Size Chart.

Me personally I have a figure 8 and I had no idea but since my dear friend has imparted this wisdom on me; I have made better dressing choices and never felt more comfortable in my own skin. I came upon a website during my search for body type advice http://www.insideoutstyleblog.com/category/body-shapes-explained. More to share as I do some research
